Altyn means gold/golden in Kazakh language. This gorgeous merino/silk blend yarn in the shimmery golden colorway inspired this name. Indulge yourself with the soothing effect of the garter stitch and a beautiful lace edge featuring a fun-to-knit stitch pattern! You can easily adjust your shawl size and make it bigger or smaller than the recommended size. Just be sure to have a recommended stitch number before starting the lace edge.

Knitting level: Intermediate

Finished measurements: 64”/163 cm wingspan and 12”/30 cm depth (at center)

Yarn: Serendipitous Wool Co. Rani (Fingering; 50% Superwash Merino, 50% silk; 437 yards/100 g), 1 skein in Lanka colorway

Needles: 32” circular needles in the size necessary to obtain gauge (recommended size US 3 3.25mm)

Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4” 10cm in garter stitch after wet blocking
